A Love of Mermaids

I have always been fascinated by Mermaids, are they real?, are they a figment of our imagination?, or maybe they do reside out there in underwater palaces hidden away in the deepest canyons of the Atlantic Ocean.

Living by the sea with its moods and mysteries, has inspired the addition of mermaids in my undersea paintings. To me, they symbolise beauty, power, freedom, agility and vulnerability.

Hiding amongst the great kelp forests they offer a portrayal of harmony between human life and nature. The element of water gives me a sense of healing and protection, and most importantly the potential for transformation.

Mermaids, although sometimes considered to be caught between multiple dichotomies; human and animal, water and land, freedom and limitation, to this artist offer a link between these opposites.

Making a site of ourselves!

Welcome to our new website - after a lot of hard work it has finally arrived in all its shiny cyber glory. MY Creative Space will not just be doing amazing stuff at their headquarters in Mountrath but there will be a lot of inter-action through the website as well.

We have loads of info about the space and, utilising the best responsive technology, you can also see everything on phones a lot easier - so happy days all round!

Thanks to everyone who have helped me along the way to get to this and to Mike McCarthy at Creactive Studios for all his help.
